My Story
In 2004 I found myself on the burned out tip of animal welfare; I had spent the better part of my young career working in animal shelters dealing with frustrating non-profit and government bureaucracy, and deeply disenchanted with what was an emotionally taxing field. After relocating from Santa Cruz to the Bay area I decided to put my Psychology degree to use and work for a therapy farm for children coping with histories of abuse and neglect. As you can probably surmise, I like to help…animals…people…I’ve always been a helper at heart. While working with children recovering from trauma I have come to many powerful realizations through years of witnessing human transformation. The most powerful realization is that we are not our past, we are not our story, we are not our hurts, and we can reclaim our power in the now. At every moment life is offering all of us a chance to reconnect with our inner well-being. We are all born into this world and will all die from this world, and what we do as human “beings” is ours to choose. This truth is a blessing and a curse, it provides us the freedom and excitement of change, and yet if we are not satisfied with life it will not hide the truth that we ourselves are the reason. I have chosen to share my experiences, to offer myself as a mirror to others, and ultimately join you in a journey of self discovery and expansion. If you would like to join me my door is open to you.
